Fireplace Insert

Inserts are placed into existing code-compliant fireplaces. These are typically masonry or a heatform metal box and masonry combination. Several inserts are now certified for installation into zero clearance fireplaces, which is especially useful when the work involved to remove an existing system could become costly. Zero Clearance Fireplace

A zero clearance fireplace is typically used in newly constructed homes or renovations. Often referred to as inserts, these do not require an existing fireplace. Installation can be as simple as assembling a prefabricated cabinet mantel up against a wall. Direct venting can be out through the wall, or up through a vertical termination.

Direct Venting can be terminated out through the wall behind the unit, or up vertically to the first point outside.
