Pellet Venting

The right venting for your pellet stove

A proper venting system safely carries exhaust outdoors and supports reliable pellet stove performance.

Whether you’re installing or replacing a pellet stove, Nordic Energy can help you choose the right venting components.

Understanding the Basics

What Is Pellet Venting?

Pellet venting carries exhaust from your pellet stove to the outdoors. It uses specialized pipe and sealed connections designed for pellet appliances.

What Is EXCELPellet?

EXCELPellet is ICC’s pellet venting system, available in 3-inch and 4-inch diameters. Its components work together to create a complete venting route suited to your stove and home.

  • Corrosion-resistant stainless steel inner flue

  • Factory-installed silicone gaskets to seal connections

  • Cleanout components for easier maintenance

  • Options for venting through a wall or roof

The right pipe size and configuration depend on your appliance’s requirements and the planned venting route.

Designed for Reliable Pellet Venting

The route your pellet vent takes matters. A well-planned system supports reliable performance and makes routine maintenance easier.

When planning your installation, we consider:

  • Vertical rise: Helps exhaust gases vent naturally if the power goes out.

  • Shorter horizontal runs and fewer elbows: Help improve venting performance.

  • Access for cleaning: Cleanout components make regular maintenance easier.

  • Insulated wall connections: Help reduce cold air infiltration where venting passes through an exterior wall.

The right configuration depends on your pellet stove, your home’s layout, and the manufacturer’s installation requirements.

We’ll help you find the right venting setup for your pellet stove and your home.
